    • Lok Sabha: MPs are elected through direct elections.
    • Rajya Sabha: Members are indirectly elected by state legislatures.

    • Lok Sabha: Continues for 5 years (can be dissolved earlier).
    • Rajya Sabha: A permanent body.
  4. Head of the House:
    • Lok Sabha: Speaker.
    • Rajya Sabha: Vice President of India (as the Chairman).

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Important Dates
